Why am I blogging?

I’m starting this blog for a few reasons: first, I’m hoping to inspire and teach my 10 year old daughter how to create her own blog and navigate the ins and outs of both a blog and website; second, I want to learn the ins and outs of both a blog and a website since my husband will hopefully soon be starting his own business and will be looking to me to do this end of the business for him; and finally, I’m hoping this will lend some order to the chaos of our life and help me to both organize my thoughts and focus on what is important to me.  

Given what I said above, the focus of this blog and website will be a juxtaposition of my interests and hobbies with my husband’s work (he’s and artist…fine woodworker) and hobbies.  I’m sure the site will have ebbs and flows, lulls and high tides…but I hope I can keep it afloat so it is useful to us and interesting/entertaining for those of you reading it.
